This policy explains how Strategy Data handles personal information — both information about our customers and information about the individuals contained in our contact directory.

1. Information about customers

• Account data: email address, name, and authentication identifiers.
• Billing data: processed by our payment provider. We never store full card numbers.
• Usage data: searches performed, records unlocked, credits consumed, and security logs such as IP address and sign-in attempts.

We use this to provide the Service, meter credits, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

2. Information in the contact directory

The directory contains business and consumer contact information (name, business name, postal address, telephone number, email address, and property attributes) obtained from public records, licensed third-party data providers, and self-reported business listings. We do not knowingly collect information about minors, and we do not include sensitive categories such as health, biometric, precise geolocation, or financial account data.

3. How data is shared

We share personal information only with service providers acting on our instructions (hosting, database, payments, email), and where required by law. Directory records are disclosed to members who unlock them, under the use restrictions in our Terms.

4. Retention

Account and billing records are retained while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. Directory records are retained until removed by an opt-out request or by a source update.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the CCPA/CPRA in California and comparable laws in other states), you may have the right to:

• know what personal information we hold about you;
• request deletion or correction of that information;
• opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
• be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

Requests can be made through our Do Not Sell / Opt Out page. We verify requests before acting and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to full contact records is metered and logged per member, and administrative access is restricted to authorised personnel.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

8. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
